BOH Res #2019-04 Authorization to Accept Funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to Support the Public Health Crisis Response, Bioterrorism Preparedness, and Communicable Disease Control & Prevention Programs

 

Body

Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes accepting funding from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on behalf of the Division of Public Health to support three program areas. Specifically, PHMDC proposes accepting $20,000 to support Public Health Crisis Response efforts, $4,400 to support Bioterrorism Preparedness efforts, and $25,600 to support Communicable Disease Control & Prevention work throughout the City and the County. Under the terms of the merger agreement, the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County may authorize PHMDC to accept and spend grant funds (IGA, VII, F, 1-3).

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison Dane County, on behalf of Public Health-Madison and Dane County, authorizes the Director of Public Health to accept $20,000 for Public Health Crisis Response, $4,400 to support Bioterrorism Preparedness, and $25,600 to support Communicable Disease Control & Prevention.
