Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution amends the 2019 Sewer Utility capital budget by transferring $300,000 of existing Sewer Reserve appropriation in the Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation program(project 10450) to the Lift Station Rehabilitation program(project# 10268) for the replacement of the James Street Lift Station.

 

The budget amendment is as follows:

Title

Amending the 2019 Sanitary Sewer Utility Capital Budget to transfer $330,000 in existing budget authority from the Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation program to the Lift Station Rehabilitation Program to provide additional funding to bid and replace the James Street Lift Station.

Body

WHEREAS, replacement parts are no longer available for the ejector style of lift station; and,

 

WHEREAS, the streets in the neighborhood in the neighborhood will be reconstructed this summer including replacing the sanitary sewer at a lower elevation; and,

 

WHEREAS, the James Street Lift Station needs to be replaced in order to replace the sanitary sewer at a lower elevation; and,

 

WHEREAS, Project 10458 (Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation) has $330,000 of budget authority currently available; and,  

 

WHEREAS, the James Street Lift Station replacement is estimated to cost $600,000; and,

 

WHEREAS, the James Street Lift design is estimated to cost $30,000; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Adopted 2019 Sanitary Sewer Utility Capital Budget has $300,000.00 to replace the James Street Lift Station; and,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2019 Sanitary Sewer Utility Budget is hereby amended to transfer existing budget authority between major projects as described in the fiscal note.
