The proposed resolution authorizes Dane County to occupy 800 square feet of City space for a period of three months, with one additional month possible, at a rate of $1.25 per square foot per month beginning February 15, 2019. No City appropriation is required.

Approving Memorandum of Understanding between Dane County and the City of Madison for County occupancy of vacant city space in the City-County Building.
Body
WHEREAS, Dane County is undertaking a remodeling of the space occupied by Printing and Services in the ground floor of the City County Building; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Madison has temporary vacant space on the fifth floor of the City County Building that can accommodate a portion of the Printing and Services operation during the remodeling; and,
WHEREAS, the City and County staff negotiated a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which provides for the County to 800 square feet of City space for a period of three months with one additional month possible at a rate of $1.25 per square foot per month beginning February 15, 2019,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Manager of the Office of Real Estate Services, or designee, is hereby authorized to execute the described Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the City of Madison.
