The proposed resolution amends the Parks Division 2018 Capital Budget by appropriating $40,000 from the Central Park Impact Fee District and transferring $73,970 from the Beaches and Shoreline Improvements program (Munis 10605) to the Brittingham Dog Park Improvements project (Munis 17384) to fund Public Works contract No. 8267, Brittingham Dog Park Improvements. The cost of the contract, including the contingency, is $508,970. The resolution awarding the contract (Legistar 53643) is scheduled to go before the Common Council for adoption on December 4, 2018. With the amendments in this resolution, funding will be available in the project for the contract.

WHEREAS, the Brittingham Dog Park Improvements project (17384) has $350,000 in budget authority in the Adopted 2018 Parks Division Capital Budget, with approximately $335,000 in remaining budget authority; and

WHEREAS, the funding needed to accept the bid for the BPW 8267 Contract - Brittingham Dog Park Improvements with all three alternates is $508,970 ($471,263.65 BPW 8225 Contract award, 8% contingency); and

WHEREAS, existing budget authority in the amount of $60,000 in the Dog Park Improvements Program (17122) from dog park revenues can be used towards this contract award; and

WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $40,000 in the Central Park Impact Fee district is available to be used towards this contract award; and

WHERAS, there are sufficient remaining funds in the Beaches and Shoreline Improvements Program from projects that have been completed that are available for transfer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2018 Parks Division Capital Budget be amended by increasing the budget in the Brittingham Dog Park Improvements project by $60,000 of existing dog park revenue budget authority in the Dog Park Improvements Program and $40,000 of Central P...
