Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution awards the contract for the construction project of Chamberlain Avenue, Van Hise and Mason Street at a total estimated cost of $1,786,700.  Funding for this project is budgeted in the Engineering Major Streets capital budget via the Reconstruction Streets capital program. Funding is provided by GO Borrowing and associated utility components broken out as follows:

 

Major Streets - $845,340

Stormwater Utility - $40,260

Sewer Utility - $780,160

Water Utility - $120,940

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
