Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution authorizes the award of Public Works Contract No. 8275, Olbrich Park Maintenance Shed. The total estimated cost of the project is $430,870. The contract is funded by insurance proceeds of $202,530 in the Garver at Olbrich Botanical Complex project (Munis 17168) and $228,340 GO Borrowing authority in the Park Land Improvements program (Munis project 17421). A companion resolution (Legistar 53233) will be introduced on October 16, 2018 to authorize expenditure authority for the insurance proceeds and the transfer of $165,375 GO Borrowing from the Beach and Shoreline program to the Park Land Improvement program for this project.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
