Repealing Section 3.14 of the Madison General Ordinances to remove the duplicate section pertaining to the Department of Transportation.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: On September 19, 2017, the Common Council adopted Legislative File Nos. 46376 and 46377, repealing Section 3.14 of the Madison General Ordinances. At the same time, the Common Council adopted Legislative File No. 46249, recreating Section 3.14 (recreating the Department of Transportation) which became effective June 29, 2018. Both the former Section 3.14 and the newly adopted Section 3.14 have remained in the MGO’s. This ordinance is a housekeeping proposal to remove the former Section 3.14 from the MGO’s, because it is no longer in effect once the new ordinance became effective.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
Duplicate Section 3.14 entitled “Department of Transportation” of the Madison General Ordinances is hereby repealed.
