Title
Authorizing the execution of an Underground Gas Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of City-owned land located at 7401 US Highway 12&18. (16th A.D.)
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison Streets Division (“City”) owns property located at 7401 US Highway 12&18 (the “Property”); and
WHEREAS, Dane County Public Works is building an improvement (“Improvement”) at the Rodefeld Landfill located at 7102 US Highway 12&18, adjacent to the Property, that requires gas line service from Madison Gas and Electric; and
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company (“MG&E) requires an underground gas line easement across a portion of the Property (“Easement Area”) for the installation of facilities to serve the Improvement, and
WHEREAS, the City Streets Division and Office of Real Estate Services staff have reviewed and approved the granting of said easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Madison authorizes execution of an Underground Gas Line Easement over a portion of the Property as legally described below and depicted on Exhibit A.
Easement Legal Description
A strip of land, six (6) feet in width, located in part of the NE1/4 of Section 25, T7N, R10E, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of said strip being more particularly described as follows:
The right-of-way shall be located 3 feet on the right side and 3 feet on the left side of the centerline of Grantee's facilities as constructed. The facilities will be located approximately as set forth in the drawing attached hereto as Exhibit A.
