Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution awards the contract for the North Prospect Avenue reconstruction project at a total cost of $508,160. The reconstruction of this street is planned within the adopted 2018 capital budget via the Engineering Major Streets Reconstruction Streets capital program (MUNS 11181); $14,83 million is budgeted for the program in 2018. The total estimated project cost assigned to the Engineering budget and associated utilities is as follows:

 

Major Streets - $225,270

Stormwater Utility - $10,230

Sewer Utility - $97,760

Water Utility - $174,900

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
