2018 Neighborhood Grant Project for Tenney Park

On May 7, 2018 the Common Council, through the 2018 Neighborhood Grant Program, awarded the Tenney-Lapham Neighborhood Association $5,000 to support celebrating the neighborhood. A portion of this project includes installation of up to five permanent vintage park image signs at Tenney Park. These signs will be custom designed metal signs to match the aesthetics of the existing metal bridge and Madison Parks Foundation sign. The sign images will include vintage postcards of the Tenney Park/Yahara River Parkway area. Staff recommends this project be conditionally approved pending final approval from the Landmarks Commission and the Wisconsin State Historical Society and are required to be located outside of the existing wetland areas as delineated on December 19, 2014.
