Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution authorizes an employment contract for the Director of Transportation, this position was recreated as part of the 2018 Adopted Budget. The budget includes $100,000 for salary & benefits associated with the position in 2018. This appropriation is sufficient based on the projected staffing costs in 2018.

Body

WHEREAS, Mayor Soglin has appointed Thomas W. Lynch to the position of Director of Transportation and has recommended to the Common Council that his appointment be confirmed; and

WHEREAS, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Lynch,

NOW THEREFORE, be resolved that Mr. Lynch's appointment to the position of Director of Transportation is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the City Clerk’s office are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Lynch.
