Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution reclassifies the existing position #4414 from a Public Works General Foreperson to an Engineer 2.
The classification change is from a CG10-RG7 to a CG18-RG8, which results in an annualized increased cost of $3,005. The position is split funded amongst the Landfill, Stormwater Utility, Sewer Utility and Engineering Divisions, and the cost of the reclassification for the remainder of 2018 will be absorbed within those agency budgets.

WHEREAS, position #4414 in the Engineering Division operating budget is identified as a Public Works General Foreperson, and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Division has filled this Public Works General Foreperson position with an Engineer 1 to meet agency needs, and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Division has concluded that it has an ongoing need for an Engineer within this work unit, and
WHEREAS, the Engineer career ladder assumes that the position will end up as an Engineer 2 in CG18, R08, and
WHEREAS, an Engineer 2 is a range higher than a Public Works General Foreperson, necessitating an amendment to the Engineering Division operating budget,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that position #4414 of Public Works General Foreperson in CG18, R07 be deleted and recreated as an Engineer 2 in CG18, R08 in the Engineering Division operating budget, thereof.
