The proposed resolution amends the adopted 2018 capital budget for Engineering Major Streets by accepting a $26,500 private contribution from Exact Sciences to fund the cost of installing a pedestrian island on Tokay Boulevard. PREAMBLE
A pedestrian island is to be installed on Tokay Boulevard to help facilitate pedestrians crossing Tokay Boulevard. Exact Sciences agreed to fund the island installation. The City will install the island with the Local Road Traffic Calming & Arterial Pedestrian Enhancements - 2018 contract. Plans and specifications were previously approved by the Common Council on May 2, 2017, File ID 46666, RES-17-00351. This resolution allows the City to accept funds from Exact Sciences for the cost to install the island.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council approves the acceptance of funds from Exact Sciences for the installation of a pedestrian island on Tokay Boulevard
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2018 Capital Budget of Engineering Major Streets, Neighborhood Traffic Management and Pedestrian Improvements be amended.
