Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution eliminates a Program Assistant 2 position (#108), recreates the positon as a Community Development Technician 1, and reallocates the incumbent employee to the recreated position. The annualized cost of recreating the position from compensation group 10, range 12 to compensation group 20, range 14 is approximately $3,483, including benefits. The annualized cost of the proposed reclassification is $5,224 (including benefits).

Based on 1^st Quarter projections the Community Development Division is projecting a $361k deficit driven by revenues that will likely not be realized. Costs for the proposed reclassification, and the projected deficit, will need to be funded by future General Fund appropriations in 2018.

Stoiber in the permanent salary detail of the Community Development Division budget, is repealed and recreated as one 1.0 FTE position of Community Development Technician 1, (class number J105) in Compensation Group 20, Range 14, and that the incumbent is reallocated to the new position, thereof.
