Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution recreates the 1.0 FTE position (#2579) of Administrative Clerk 1 (CG20 RG09), to a Program Assistant 1, (CG20 RG11) and allocates the incumbent to the new position. The cost for the remainder of 2018 of recreating the position is approximately $2,040 including benefits. The annualized cost of the proposed reclassification is $3,080 (including benefits).

Based on 1^st Quarter projections the Police Department is projecting a $1.4 million deficit driven by overtime and benefits. Costs for the proposed reclassification, and the projected deficit, will need to be funded by future General Fund appropriations in 2018.
