The proposed resolution approves plan documents for the 2018 citywide local traffic calming and pedestrian enhancements at a total estimated cost of $290,000. The Engineering Major Streets adopted 2018 capital budget provides $320,000 of GO Borrowing within the Neighborhood Traffic Management & Pedestrian Improvements program (MUNIS 10546) for projects improving traffic and pedestrian safety on local streets.

PREAMBLE
This project consists of installation of various traffic calming and pedestrian enhancements citywide. Each specific location undergoes evaluation and separate approval processes. Upon approval, this public works contract provides means to construct the approved devices.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:
1. That the plans and specifications for Local Road Traffic Calming & Arterial Pedestrian Enhancements - 2018, be and are hereby approved.
2. That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for the required public works contract.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept dedication of lands and/or easements from the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of the existing public fee title or easement rights-of-ways.
4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Exact Sciences to reimburse the City for the costs to install the mid-block pedestrian crossing on Tokay Blvd.
