Fiscal Note
As stated in the Employee Agreement between the City of Madison and David M. Gawenda, The City Treasurer's initial year's salary will be based on a total annualized rate of $114,222 effective May 15th, 2018. The Treasurer's adopted 2018 operating budget includes sufficient funding for the cost of the position. Annual salary adjustments may be made during the term of agreement at the Mayor's discretion, subject to Common Council approval.

WHEREAS, Mayor Soglin has appointed David M. Gawenda to the position of City Treasurer and has recommended to the Common Council that his appointment be confirmed; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Gawenda
NOW THEREFORE, be resolved that Mr. Gawenda's appointment to the position of City Treasurer is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the City Clerk’s office are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Gawenda.
