The proposed resolution authorizes the execution of an underground electric easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company (MG&E) for installation of underground electric facilities to serve Fire Station 14 at 3201 Dairy Drive. No City appropriation is required.

Authorizing the execution of an Underground Electric Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of the Fire Station 14 property located at 3201 Dairy Drive.
Body
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company (“MG&E”) will be installing underground electric facilities to serve the Fire Station 14 building to be constructed at 3201 Dairy Drive and requires an underground electric easement across said property; and

WHEREAS, City Engineering Division and Office of Real Estate Services staff have reviewed and approve of the granting of said easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of the Fire Station 14 property located at 3201 Dairy Drive (depicted on attached Exhibit A), legally described as follows:

A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in Lot 1, Certified Survey Map No. 14653, recorded with the Dane County Register of Deeds in Volume 101 of Certified Survey Maps, Pages 307-312, as Document No. 5371004, lying in part of the SW ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 22, T7N - R10E, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of said strip being more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at the most southwesterly corner of said Lot 1; thence N00°51’15”E, 410.84 feet, along the easterly right-of-way line of Dairy Drive; thence N90°00’00”E, 181.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence South 51 feet to the point of termination.

The right-of-way shall be located 5 feet on the right side and 5 feet on the left side of the centerline of MG&E’s electric facilities as originally constructed. Said underground ...
