Amending Section 23.31(1) to prohibit all animals from running at large and repealing Section 23.31(2), creating Section 23.52, and amending Section 1.08(3)(a) of the Madison General Ordinances to prohibit the possession of pigs within the City and establishing exceptions.
Body
DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance prohibits any owner or keeper of any animal from permitting the animal to run at large within the City. It moves the prohibition against keeping pigs to a new section and creates a process for allowing such animals when at a special event at a park or street use event. It also establishes a bail deposit for possessing a pig within the City.
