Jim Moravec of Potter Lawson appealing IBC Table 503 of the 2009 IBC. The rule requires that the new elevator addition be separated from the non-sprinklered portion of the building. It is not structurally feasible. The proposal is to sprinkle the planned addition and remodeling of the existing high school. Standpipes will be added to the closed stairwells in the 1925 building. The rest of the complex will be sprinklered by 2033.
