CDA Resolution # 4261 - Appointing Thomas Conrad as the Deputy Director of the Community Development Authority (the “Authority”).

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Section 8 of the By Laws of the Community Development Authority of the City of Madison (“CDA By Laws”) provide that the Deputy Director shall be appointed by the Authority. Any persons appointed to fill the office of Deputy Executive Director, or any vacancy therein, shall have such term as the Authority fixes, but no commissioners of the Authority shall be eligible to this office except as a temporary appointee.
WHEREAS, Section 6 of the CDA By Laws provides that the Deputy Executive Director shall serve as the Deputy Secretary to the Authority and shall perform the duties of the Executive Director and Secretary as Acting Executive Director and Acting Secretary in the Executive Director’s absence or incapacity.
WHEREAS, Agustin Olvera served as the Deputy Executive Director and Deputy Secretary of the CDA until his retirement in June of 2016.
WHEREAS, the position of Deputy Executive Director and Deputy Secretary of the CDA is currently vacant.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the CDA does hereby appoint Thomas Conrad to serve as the Deputy Executive Director and Deputy Secretary until the earlier to occur of (1) Mr. Conrad is no longer an employee of the City of Madison or (2) the CDA Board appoints an alternative person.
