Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution approves plan documents for the annual sidewalk program's sidewalk sawcutting improvements in the 3rd and 16th Aldermanic Districts at total estimated cost of $186,000. The adopted 2018 capital budget for Engineering-Bicycle & Pedestrian provides $2.43 million for the Sidewalk Replacement program in 2018 (MUNIS 10148). Funding is provided by GO Borrowing and Special Assessments.

PREAMBLE

 

The sawcutting program provides for the horizontal sawcutting of trip hazards in Districts 3 and 16 and throughout the City to comply with ADA guidelines.  The sawcuts are funded solely by the City.

 

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

 

1)         That the plans and specifications for Annual Horizontal Sawcutting of Concrete Sidewalk and Incidental Work (Districts 3 and 16) - 2018, be and are hereby approved.

 

2)         That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3)         That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
