The proposed resolution amends the adopted 2017 capital budget for Engineering Major Streets by accepting $26,500 of private contribution funding to install a pedestrian island on Tokay Boulevard. If adopted, the funding will budgeted and used via the Neighborhood Traffic Management and Pedestrian Improvements capital program (MUNIS 11462).

PREAMBLE
A pedestrian island was installed on Tokay Boulevard to help facilitate pedestrians crossing Tokay Boulevard. Don Miller agreed to fund the island installation. The City installed the island with the Local Road Traffic Calming & Arterial Pedestrian Enhancements - 2017 contract. Plans and specifications were previously approved by the Common Council on May 2, 2017, File ID 46666, RES-17-00351. This resolution allows the City to accept funds from Don Miller for the cost to install the island.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council approves the acceptance of funds from Don Miller for the installation of a pedestrian island on Tokay Boulevard
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2017 Capital Budget of Engineering Major Streets, Neighborhood Traffic Management and Pedestrian Improvements be amended.
