Dana Maya is a poet and essayist from the Mexican diaspora by way of Colorado and has lived on the isthmus of Madison for 15 years. She’s been published in Feminist Formations, Volta, the anthologies Listen to Your Mother: What She Said Then, What We're Saying Now, and Basta: 100+ Latinas against Gender Violence, has presented her work on numerous stages, and is active in public writing projects such as the Spontaneous Writing Booth in Madison. She has taught writing at the college level in Texa, New York and Madison and works as a writer and editor at UW-Madison.
