Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2017 capital budget Engineering Major Streets has budgeted $10.04 million for the resurfacing of existing streets via the Pavement Management capital program (MUNIS 10540).  The proposed resolution awards the contract for the utility and pavement replacement within the established 2017 resurfacing assessment district at a cost of $680,090.  Funding is provided by GO borrowing, special assessments, and associated utility funding.

 

The cost is assigned to City agencies as follows:

Engineering-Major Streets - $166,510

Stormwater Utility - $120,190

Sewer Utility - $180,650

Water Utility - $212,740

Total - $680,090

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
