Fiscal Note

This proposed resolution changes the classification title of positions #1850 and #1774 from Water Quality Aide to Water Quality Sampler.

The proposed reclassification of position #1850 from CG16-RG9 to CG16-RG13 results in an annual cost increase of $6,497 including both salary and benefits. This cost will be absorbed within the Water Utility's existing operating budget.

The reclassification of position #1774 is a title change only that is planned to be filled lateral to the existing position's CG-RG level; therefore having no fiscal impact.

Delete the classification of Water Quality Aide (class code: F162; CG16, R9) and create the classifications of Water Quality Sampler 1 (CG16, R9), Water Quality Sampler 2 (CG16, R11), and Water Quality Sampler 3 (CG16, R13).  Recreate position #1850 as a Water Quality Sampler 3 in the Water Utility operating budget and reallocate the incumbent (K. Miller) to the new position. Recreate position #1774 as a Water Quality Sampler 2, and, if filled, reallocate the incumbent to the level of Water Quality Sampler 1, all in the Water Utility operating budget.
