Fiscal Note
In the adopted 2017 capital budget, Engineering Major Streets has budgeted $1,500,000 for the E. Johnson Undergrounding Utilities project (MUNIS 10241). Funding is provided by TID 32. The existing budget authority is sufficient for the estimated cost of the proposed agreement authorized by this resolution at a total estimated cost of $1,400,000.

Body
Overhead electrical and communication lines run along E. Johnson Street between Livingston Street and Brearly Street. Funds are included in the 2017 Engineering Major Streets Capital Budget for undergrounding of overhead utilities on E. Johnson Street. MG&E, Charter Communications and AT&T will underground their overhead facilities along E. Johnson Street. The work is scheduled for the fall of 2017.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute agreements and the Finance Director to issue purchase orders to MG&E, Charter Communications and AT&T for the undergrounding of overhead utilities along E. Johnson Street between Livingston Street and Brearly Street.
