Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2017 capital budget Engineering-Facilities Management has budgeted $23,000,000 for the renovation of the Madison Municipal Building (MMB) (MUNIS 10129).  The proposed resolution approves plan documents and authorizes the bid process for the project.  The estimated cost is $22,500,000 to be funded by GO Borrowing.

Body

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

1)                     That the plans and specifications for MMB Renovation, be and are hereby approved.

 

2)                     That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3)                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.

 

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer & Civil Rights Director may delay the due date for the

SBE documents up to one working day following receipt of the bids.
