Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2017 capital budget Engineering-Major Streets has budgeted $750,000 for the repair, replacement, and painting of the City’s bridges (MUNIS 11592). The proposed resolution approves plan documents for repairs estimated to cost $750,000. Funding is provided by GO Borrowing.

PREAMBLE

 

The annual bridge inspections have identified the need for repairs on several of the city bridges.   Deck repairs are needed on the Campus Drive Bridges over Highland Avenue and Walnut Street and spot repairs are needed on the Atwood Avenue Bridge over the East Branch of the Starkweather Creek.

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

 

1)                     That the plans and specifications for Bridge Repairs - 2017 be and are hereby approved.

 

2)                     That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3)                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept dedication of lands and/or easements from the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
