Fiscal Note
The project for the Fleet Relocation to Nakoosa Trail is sufficiently planned for 2020 within the 2017 adopted Capital Improvement Plan. The proposed agreement authorizes the approximately $210,000 expected to be received at the end of construction which is scheduled for 2020. When the funds are received, they will be deposited to the Facilities Management capital project Energy Efficiency Improvements (10562). No appropriation of funding is required for this agreement.

WHEREAS, Focus on Energy is an energy efficiency and renewable resource program funded by the state’s investor-owned energy utilities, under Wis. Stat. § 196.374(2)(a), and participating municipal and electric cooperative utilities. The program works with eligible Wisconsin residents and businesses to install cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. The program is administered by Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure, Inc. and/or its parent company Chicago Bridge and Iron Company or CB&I (“Program Administrator”) under contract with Statewide Energy Efficiency and Renewable Administration, Inc. (“SEERA”); and,

WHEREAS Focus on Energy facilitated a collaborative approach with the City and the City’s architectural and engineering design team consultants, RNL Design and Mead & Hunt to evaluate energy savings strategies related to the building design for Nakoosa Trail Fleet/Fire/Radio Shop Facility that are cost-effective and make sense for the City’s project; and,
