Title
Authorizing the Director of the Department of Planning and Community and Economic Development to execute amendment of an agreement with the Capital Area Regional Planning Commission approved under ID # 44623 (RES-16-00780).
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council adopted ID # 44623 on October 18, 2016, authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with the Capital Area Regional Planning Commission (CARPC) concerning use of UrbanFootprint, a growth scenario modeling tool customized for City use by Calthorpe Analytics; and
WHEREAS, the City and the CARPC wish to amend the original agreement to allow the CARPC to directly undertake UrbanFootprint growth scenario modeling as part of its “A Greater Madison Vision” process - an advance made possible by a planned upgrade of UrbanFootprint software that allows for a mirror instance to be run without additional cost to the City or to CARPC; and
WHEREAS, the remainder of the agreement authorized under ID # 44623 will remain the same as was previously approved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Planning and Community and Economic Development is authorized to execute an amendment to the agreement authorized under ID # 44623 and signed by the Mayor on November 15, 2016.
