The CDA Executive Director position is fully funded within the existing 2017 appropriation.
Title
Approving an extension of a provisional appointment for Matt Wachter from February 1, 2017 until such time as the position of CDA Executive Director is filled on a permanent basis or until August 1, 2017, whichever is earlier.
Body
WHEREAS, Matt Wachter has been filling the position of Economic Revitalization Supervisor on a provisional basis, assuming some of the responsibilities of CDA Executive Director following the appointment of Natalie Erdman to DPCED Director; and
WHEREAS, it is expected that he will continue to perform these duties until the CDA Executive Director is filled on a permanent basis; and
WHEREAS, City Personnel Rules allow for provisional appointments for six (6) months unless further approval is granted by the Madison Common Council;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Mr. Wachter’s provisional appointment be extended from February 1, 2017, with no change to the terms of his current provisional appointment, until the CDA Executive Director is filled on a permanent basis or until August 1, 2017, whichever is earlier.
