Fiscal Note

The 2016 Adopted Capital Budget for the Stormwater Utility approved $500,000 for the Warner Park Boat Launch Breakwater project, under the major program Shoreline Improvement Program which makes large-scale improvements to the public shoreline of lakes, creeks, and rivers. Funding is provided by Stormwater Reserves and GO Borrowing. The 2016 Adopted Capital Budget for the Parks Division includes $550,000 for improvements to the Warner Park boat launch and breakwater wall under the major program Beach and Shoreline Improvements, funding is provided by GO Borrowing. The respective projects have sufficient budget authority for the work proposed in this resolution.

 

The proposed resolution approves the contracts for the Warner Boat Launch Breakwater Reconstruction at a cost of $708,690.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
