Fiscal Note
This resolution extends the pass agreement between the City of Madison and SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison. It provides for the reimbursement by St. Mary's Hospital to Metro Transit for all fixed route and ADA paratransit trips provided by Metro Transit to St. Mary's Hospital employees and volunteers during the term of the first extension (January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017) and the second extension (January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018) if the option is exercised. Rides will be reimbursed at the per ride rate in the current Fare Tariff at the time the ride is taken. Estimated revenue of $36,000 is budgeted in the adopted Operating Budget for Metro in 2017. A revenue estimate will be included in the 2018 operating budget if the option within this resolution is exercised.

WHEREAS, SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison and Metro Transit have had a successful and productive contracting arrangement for an employee/volunteer bus pass program for many years and both parties wish to continue the program; and
WHEREAS, the current bus pass program contract with SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Madison was authorized by RES-15-00030, which allowed the parties to renew the agreement for one additional one-year period by mutual agreement;
WHEREAS, the parties renewed the agreement for one additional year and would like to do so again for two additional one-year periods;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to renew the existing bus pass program contract with SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison for January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017 with an option to renew for an additional year (January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018.)
