Title

Temporary Land Use Permit- Request from Jordan Schultz, Keel Partners, Inc., for temporary access within Yahara River Parkway for the installation of storm sewer to serve the development at 1801 E. Washington Avenue.

Body

The Developer of 1801 E. Washington Avenue has requested access to Yahara River Parkway between E. Washington and E. Main Street for the installation of a public storm sewer main that serves the development and also serves the public street. The proposed storm sewer will discharge to the Yahara River. This storm sewer will reduce the flooding issues that currently exist on E. Main Street immediately adjacent to the proposed project. The storm sewer will be publicly owned and maintained.   The conditions for the temporary land use permit will be included in the Contract for the installation of public improvements to be accepted by the City of Madison and will be administered through the Engineering Division.  The Developer will be required to provide a bond or surety to guarantee the improvements and will also require the Developer’s Contractor to be prequalified with the City of Madison.  Parks staff will be involved with determining the specific design details, restoration and access rights related to the public improvements within the park to minimize the disturbance within the Yahara River Parkway.
