Fiscal Note
In the adopted 2016 Capital Budget the Parks Division has budgeted $1,500,000 for the park improvements at Penn Park, under the Parks Penn Park Project (MUNIS 17178). This program has sufficient funding for the proposed work in this resolution. Funding is provided by GO borrowing.

The proposed resolution approves an agreement for architectural and design services for the Penn Park restroom project at an estimated cost of $29,890.

Body
Whereas, the parties, the City of Madison ("City") and Destree Design Architects Inc ("Architect" or "Contractor") have completed a contract for purchase of architectural and engineering design services for Schematic Design of a Park Restroom Prototype Building in 2014, and,

Whereas, this contract is the continuing development and preparation of architectural and engineering design, Design Development, Construction Drawings and Specifications to complete the Park Restroom Prototype Building; and preparation of bid documents, assistance in the bid process and construction administration services for the construction of a new Penn Park Restroom Building at 2101 Fisher Street and,

Whereas, additional professional design services shall include civil, architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical engineering, and other disciplines as required, and,

Whereas, the project will expedite the implementation of the Park Restroom Prototype Building to replace an existing undersized and out-dated restroom building, and,

Whereas, Destree Design Architects is a local firm with expertise on park restroom buildings and public process, and has completed the Schematic Design process with the Parks Departm...
