Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2017 capital budget the Stormwater Utilty has budgeted $300,000 and a reauthorization of $529,000 for the repair and construction of Stormwater detention and retention basins via the Stormwater Basins program (MUNIS 10341).  The minor project for the basin at Cherokee Pond basin at Wheeler Rd and Bonner Ln. is established with sufficient budget authority for the proposed work.  Funding is provided by Non-General Fund borrowing.

 

The proposed resolution awards the contract at a total estimated cost of $664,410.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
