No appropriation required. The developer is required by Contract No. 7684, Engineering Project No. 11347 to pay all costs associated with the installation of all traffic signs required by the plans and specifications for this development.

WHEREAS, the Common Council, by Resolution No. 12,459, adopted March 9, 1967, has approved a master list of existing street names and designations for all purposes; and
WHEREAS, Secs. 10.34(1) and 10.35, Madison General Ordinances, require the City Engineer to maintain certain street numbering maps; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works approved on April 22, 2015, Legistar File ID 38082 a Policy for Street Name Changes; and
WHEREAS, Snyder and Associates filed a petition on November 11, 2016 with the City of Madison Engineering Division on behalf of Cherokee Park, Inc., petitioner and developer of the plat The Turn, to change the name of Niblick Drive to Perfect Drive beginning at Cherokee Club Lane and progressing northerly to its terminus at the intersection with N. Sherman Avenue. A copy of the said petition is attached hereto and made part of this resolution; and
WHEREAS, the plat of The Turn was conditionally approved by the City of Madison Common Council by Enactment Number RES-16-00184, File I.D. Number 41145, as adopted on the 1st of March, 2016. Said Enactment provided for the naming of Niblick Drive as shown on the plat document; and
WHEREAS, the plat of The Turn was subsequently recorded upon the satisfaction of the conditions of approval on the 19th of May, 2016 in Volume 60-055A of Plats on pages 287-288, as Document Number 5235740, Dane County Register of Deeds; and
WHEREAS, as of the date of the attached petition, no homes have been constructed on Niblick Drive and all adjacent Lots and Outlots are currently owned by the Petitioner; and
WHEREAS, the City of Madison Engineering Division has circulated the petition to other City Agencies, and has subsequently determined the petition to be in conformance with the said policy and supports the request to change the name of Niblick Drive to Perfect Drive.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by approving this resolution, the City of Madison Common Council hereby approves the street name change of Niblick Drive to Perfect Drive. This name change beginning at Cherokee Club Lane, progressing northerly to its terminus at the intersection with N. Sherman Avenue.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED, upon approval and adoption of the street name change that the City Assessor’s Office and City Engineer’s Office be permitted to change the Address-Parcel-Owner data in the City’s databases as required to complete this street name change; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all costs of the street signage necessary in the field as a result of this street name change shall be paid for by the petitioner as per the approved Contract for the Construction of Public Improvements to be Accepted by the City of Madison, Contract No. 7684, City Engineering Project No. 11347.
