Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget the Sewer Utility has budgeted $2.3 million within the Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation program to repair failing sewers through a non-invasive pipe lining method (MUNIS 10450).  The minor project for the 2016 Cured In Place Piping (CIPP) is established with sufficient budget authority for the proposed contract. (MUNIS 11473).  Funding is provided by utility reserves and revenue bonds.

 

The proposed resolution awards the contract at a total estimated cost of $760,680 split amongst agencies as follows:

 

Sewer Utility - $695,590

Stormwater Utility - $57,020

Parks - $8,070

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
