Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget the Sewer Utility budgeted $2.3 million in the Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation program (MUNIS 10450) for the rehabilitation of failing sewers through the process of lining the pipes remotely.  The minor project for Cured In Place Piping (CIPP) is established with sufficient budget authority for the work in this proposed resolution (MUNIS 10800).  Funding is provided by revenue bonds.

 

The proposed resolution awards the contract at an estimated total cost of $410,780.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
