I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen committee appointments.
PUBLIC SAFETY REVIEW COMMITTEE
DEBRA F. JULIAN (6th A.D.) - appoint to the position of Mayor or Designee. Ms. Julian currently holds a Citizen Member position and has served since 6-2-2015. She succeeds Merrilee Pickett.
SYED “JOHN” MUSTAJAB ABBAS (12th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Citizen Member. Mr. Abbas is a consultant and has held numerous positions, including political advisor on a diplomatic mission of Pakistan to the United Nations. He has been a member of the Rotary Club and is a member of the Eken Park Neighborhood Association. Mr. Abbas succeeds Bruce Frey.

VENDING OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE
RENA GELMAN (13th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Citizen-Voting. Ms. Gelman is currently employed by the University of Wisconsin - School of Business to help build small businesses in Madison. She previously owned the Sunprint Café in Madison for 24 years. She succeeds Sarah M. Larson.
