Request by City Engineering for Access through E. Johnson Street Open Space for Demolition of the House at 217 N First St.

City Engineering has purchased the property located at 217 N. First St. for the expansion of the E. Johnson St. Bike Path in 2017. City Engineering will be letting a Public Works contract for the removal of asbestos, demolition of two structures and the removal of a 2 foot high concrete retaining wall. The site will be backfilled and graded as necessary along the E. Johnson St. sidewalk and seeded for erosion control until the bike path project begins next year. Due to the location of the property City Engineering is requesting site access to the property during the contract through the existing Parks Division E. Johnson St. Open Space.
