The proposed position classification change for position #4336 has a total annualized cost of $12,531 for salaries and benefits. The remaining cost of this position classification change in the 2016 fiscal year is $4,321 for both salaries and benefits.
The incremental cost of the position classification change proposed in this resolution will be absorbed within the Engineering’s 2016 Operating Budget.

Preamble:
The Engineering Division Transportation Design Section has an Engineer 2 designing and leading new designs for plat development and redevelopment. Said Engineer is a registered Professional Engineer and worthy of promotion to Engineer 3. There are no budgeted positions available that would allow for this promotion. Therefore, the Engineering Division shall recreate the current Engineer 2 (CG 18, RG 8) position to an Engineer 4 (CG 18, RG 12) position and then request underfill with an Engineer 3 thru an administrative promotion, subject to approval of Human Resources.
Now Therefore, Be it Resolved,
That the Engineering Division 1.0 FTE position #4336 be recreated as an Engineer 4 in the Transportation Design Section.
