Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget Engineering - Major Streets has budgeted $4 million for the reconstruction of streets with substandard pavement quality within the Rural to Urban program (MUNIS10204).  The minor project for North Sherman Avenue improvements at Golf Pkwy N. is budgeted with sufficient funding for this proposed contract.

 

The proposed resolution approves the contract at total estimate cost of $740,760.

 

That total cost is split amongst agencies as follows:

Engineering Major Streets - $365,010

Stormwater Utility - $242,230

Water Utility - $133,520

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
