This resolution amends the adopted 2016 capital budget by accepting the Municipal Flood Control grant award for the 3629 Marsh Road land acquisition (MUNIS11447) in the amount of $83,750. The grant award amount is representative of 50% of the total cost for the land acquisiton. The resolution also amends the adopted 2016 capital budget to transfer unused budget authority from Stormwater's Local (Public) Drainage Problems program (MUNIS 11447) in the amount of $83,750 for the reamining 50% of the 3629 Marsh Road land acquisition costs. The minor project in that program for which the authority will be transferred from is the Cumberland & Richard Drainage Updgrade project (MUNIS 10333). That portion of funding is provided by GO Borrowing. The total of the grant award acceptance of $83,750 and budget authority transfer of $83,750 has a net amount of $167,500 for the work associated with the 3629 Marsh Road project.

Preamble:

A single family home located at 3629 Marsh Road has been zoned into the Regulatory Floodplain. RES-16-00468 authorized the City Engineer to apply for a Municipal Flood Control Grant to purchase the property, remove all structures and return the property to a natural floodway. The property will be owned and managed by the Madison Storm Water Utility which already owns adjacent Floodway lands.
