Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget the Engineering Ped-Bike division has budgeted $680,000 for bicycle related improvements throughout the city under their Bikeways Program (MUNIS 10138). A minor project under this program is for the improvements for the Demetral Park path (MUNIS 10460).  Additionally, the Parks division has budgeted for components of the Demetral Park improvements (MUNIS 10465). Funding is from GO borrowing.

 

The proposed resolution awards the specified contract at an estimate cost of $362,230.

 

MUNIS:

Engineering Ped/Bike: 10460-403-172:54440(91226)  $317,540.00

Parks:  10465-51-130:54250(91226)   $41,381.25

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
