Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget the Water Utility has budgeted $11.7 million for the replacement and upgrade of water mains under the major program Water Mains Replace Rehab Improvements (MUNIS 10432).  Minor project for the East Broadway Service Rd. Mains (MUNIS 11212) is established with sufficient authority for the estimated cost of the work.  The funding for the project is provided by revenue bonds.

 

The proposed resolution approves the contract for the work at an estimated cost of $214,750.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
