Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget, Engineering Major Streets has budgeted $5.9 million for the resurfacing of existing streets with new asphaltic pavement under the Pavement Management program (MUNIS 10540).  The minor project for the Lake Street resurfacing work is established with sufficient budget authority for the contract in the proposed resolution.  Funding for this project is from GO borrowing.

 

The proposed resolution awards the contract for the work for the Lake Street Resurfacing in the amount of $678,660.  This amount is split amongst city agencies as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
