Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget, the Water Utility has budgeted $11.7 million for the replacement and upgrade of the city's water mains via their Water Mains Replace/Rehab Improvements program (MUNIS 10440).  The project for the N.Segoe Rd work from Regent St. to University Ave. (MUNIS 11306) is established for the work specified in the proposed resolution.  Funding for this project is from revenue bonds.

 

The proposed resolution approves plan documents for the water main replacement at an estimated cost of $600,000.

Body

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

1)                     That the plans and specifications for N. Segoe Road Water Main, be and are hereby approved.

 

2)                     That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3)                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
