Fiscal Note
In the adopted 2016 capital budget, Engineering Major Streets has budgeted $4.02 million for the reconstruction of streets with substandard pavement via the Rural to Urban Streets program (MUNIS 10204). The minor project for Turner and Allis Ave Reconstruction (MUNIS 10904) has sufficient budget authority for the cost of the contract in the proposed resolution. Funding for the project is predominantly from GO borrowing.
The proposed resolution approves the contract at a total estimated cost of $2,252,870. The breakout of this total cost by agency is as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
